young woman has been charged with transporting drugs inside her body after landing at Sydney airport from America.The Australian Customs Service today said its officers stopped and searched the woman on Sunday after she arrived on a flight from Los Angeles.During their search, the customs officers became suspicious she might be concealing drugs inside her body and referred her to the Australian Federal Police, who took her to hospital for an internal examination.She was found to have 40 pellets containing a total of 400g of cocaine in her stomach. A 19-year-old woman is due to face Sydney's Central Local Court today charged with importing a marketable quantity of a border-controlled drug. The maximum penalty for the offence is 25 years in prison and/or a $550,000 fine.
